eFile™ Server integrates with Blackberry Enterprise Server and MDS to deliver transparent, convenient and secure way for users to connect to their documents. The architecture of the solution using eFile™ Server and eOffice™ is shown on the diagram below.
eFile Server Details
eFile™ Server is implemented using industry standard J2EE technologies and can run on any J2EE compliant application server (*). eFile™ Server uses standard IMAP protocol to interface with corporate e-mail server for e-mail attachment processing. MS Windows® network file sharing is used to provide access to network servers and folders, utilizing standard Windows network permissions.
eFile Server Administration
Administration and configuration of eFile™ Server can be done from any browser using a Web-based Administrator Console. Using the Console, administrators can manage users, assign to them rights to access network resources and manage their devices.
eFile Server Installation Requirements
eFile™ Server can be installed on any computer running Windows 2000 Server of higher. It can be installed on the same computer running BES or on a separate one. Hardware requirements are Pentium IV 2GHz with 512Mb memory. The computer running eFile™ Server has to be accessible from the computer running BES/MDS (if they are separate) and have the ability to connect to http://clients.dynoplex.com:80 over Internet for license management. Software required for installation is J2SDK version 1.4.0 and higher. Detailed requirement for installation can be found in the eFile™ Server Installation Guide, included with the eFile™ Server distribution.
