When the focus is located in the table cell area, the content of the currently selected cell can be modified. To edit the existing cell content, press the ENTER button while the cursor is on the cell you want to edit. To overwrite the cell content, position the cursor on the desired cell and start typing new data. The focus will move the cell data area and the old data will be erased. To leave the cell data area without saving the changes press the ESCAPE button. To save the changes, press ENTER or click the roller wheel.
You can copy and paste cell data, including formulas. To copy cell data, use the following procedure:
- Select a cell or a range (initial range) and copy it to the clipboard. To select cells, click on Select->Cells/Rows/Columns menu.
- Place the cursor in the range to which you wish to copy data (setting range) and paste the clipboard data.
When pasting, eCell™ will remove all cell data within a setting range. To undo pasting, select Edit->Undo.
To copy data to the clipboard, use either toolbar buttons or Edit from the main menu.
