On the first run of eSpell application, the program presents the user with a set of options that control the spell checking.
First, the user can select the dictionary that will be used to check spelling. There are two types of dictionaries – Device and Server. Server dictionaries are located on the DynoPlex eFile Server, and eSpell needs to connect to it to check spelling of the words. Device dictionaries are located locally on the BlackBerry, and eSpell will check spelling without wireless connectivity. It is important to note that the Device dictionary takes space on the BlackBerry, and users with 16Mb devices should be cautious of the amount of the free memory left on the device for their e-mails and contact entries.
Periodically, DynoPlex publishes additional dictionaries on its eFile Server. To get the updated list of the dictionaries, user can click Update Dictionary List button to download the newest list of available dictionaries.
After the dictionary is selected, the user is presented with the eSpell Options screen. There the user can select another dictionary, edit the User Dictionary and set eSpell options, as shown on the screenshot.
The eSpell Options screen can also be accessed by launching the eSpell application in eFile and eOffice, as shown in Section 7.
